As a family, we are sad to announce the passing of our matriarch, Wanda Batson, she was born September 17, 1930 to Enoch and Ruby Sawlkill Wilson.
Wanda was the third child of their family of ten children which helped make her the strong woman she was in life, raising seven children of her own.
Wanda returned to her heavenly Father on April 13, 2022 at the wise age of 91 and 3/4 years. She has seen and done a lot of things in those many years of life and the family and friends she leaves behind will cherish their memories of her and miss her dearly.
Her family was raised on Sunday dinners at granny's house and it was a given that she expected everyone to show up and eat dinner with her.
Wanda leaves behind four of her seven children, Jack (Debbie) Cullen of Aurora, Wayne Cullen of Fulton, MO., Sharon Burt of Crane, MO. and Karen (Bruce) Johnson of Kamas, UT.; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Wilburn Wilson of of Aurora; sister-in-laws, Nora Wilson of Cassville, and Agnes Wilson of Marionville; and along with numerous loving and cherished nieces, nephews and friends of all ages.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; several brothers and sisters; four son's, Charles Cullen, Dallas Cullen, James Branstetter and Michael Branstetter; granddaughter, Jeanna Bastian and many others.
A family viewing will be held Friday, April 15, at 2:00 p.m. in the Peterson Funeral Chapel.
A celebration of life will follow at Wanda's farm north of Aurora.
