Virginia Jean (Garner) Conn, 84, of Aurora passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021.


She was born  December 24, 1936 to Floyd and Golda (Reed) Garner in Eagle Rock, MO. Throughout her life, she taught her family by example. Her independence, strong will, work ethic and strong character was always evident. As was her ever present pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.. Whether it be academics, sports, singing or simply their character, she always beamed at the successes but more so the love she showed them. She valued family above all.


Preceding her in death were her husband, Marvin Conn; her daughter, Charlotte (Conn) Wilson; and her brothers, Willis, Wesley and Bill Garner.


Remaining to carry on are sons, Mike (Gretchen) and family and Matt Conn; grandchildren, Wendy (Jeremy) Willcock, Kyle (Brittany) Wilson, Matthew (Shelby) and Jeremiah and Chandler Conn; great-grandchildren, Jaycey and Ellie Willcock, Brady Beckham and Bristol Wilson and Gavin Conn; as well as her many friends and family here and abroad.


Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 7 at 3:00 p.m. at the Aurora Fundamental Methodist Church under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Maple Park Cemetery.


​Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-3 p.m. in the church.
