Peterson Funeral Chapel

            Timothy Alan Jackson, age 52, was born November 7, 1967 in Aurora, MO. and departed this life on August 14, 2020.  Tim was the son of Rev, Harold and Carolyn (Rickman) Jackson. 

            He was born without the ability to hear but learned to communicate with others through sign language and lip reading.  Tim gave his heart and life to Christ at an early age and served God in various ways at deaf churches.  He enjoyed attending Sunday School and Worship services at Republic First Baptist Church where his special friend, Anna Brashears-Datema so faithfully interpreted all of the services for him.

            He earned many awards during his educational years and received honors for his work.  One honor was he was a member of Who's Who Among High School Students as a student at Topeka-Tilton Learning Center in Monticello, MS. where he graduated in 1987.

            Tim is survived by his parents, Harold and Carolyn Jackson;  his two sisters, Lynn (Wendell) Jones of Satsuma, AL. and Sheila Jackson of Marionville, MO;  one niece, Heather Overstreet of Tuscaloosa, AL.; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

            Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 18 at 10:00 a.m. in Maple Park Cemetery under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel.

            Visitation will be held Monday from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Republic First Baptist Church.
