            Solveig M (Sally) Perry, 93, of Aurora Mo passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar MO.
            She was a "good and faithful servant" of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was always ready to share the love of God with everyone she could talk to.
            She came from a musical family and played the piano in churches for over 50 years. Wherever she was she could join in with those that were playing the Gospel songs as if she always knew those playing.
            Sally loved her family and gave sacrificially, her devotion and strength all of her life to those she loved and she was much loved by her family.  One common comment we often heard by those that met her was "how much they loved her kind sweet spirit".     
            She retired from the Houston Chronicle in Houston TX and relocated to Aurora, MO around 1990 and resided in Aurora and Bolivar Missouri until her passing.
            She was born to Marinus Blom Kaupanger and Ida Anderson Kaupanger on January 25, 1928 in Kelliher MN. and grew up in Westwood (Lassen County) California.
            She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Esther Robbins, her Kaupanger brothers Earl, Arthur, Henry, Norman, Morris, Ivan, Ted, Abe and Ben and son-in-law Danny Shimek.   She was the last of the Kaupanger siblings. She was also preceded in death by husband Kenneth H. Grant SR (father of her 4 children) in 1991; husband Johnnie P. Wood in 2008; and Ray C. Perry in 2019.
            Survivors include her son, Kenneth H. Grant JR and wife Robby of Cibolo TX; daughters Cheryl Shimek of Crosby TX; Beth Harrison and husband Damon of Normangee TX; and Cathie Hayes and husband Mike of Lufkin TX. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 22 great-Grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
            She will be buried next to the father of her four children in Webster TX.
            Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 9 at 12:00 p.m. in the Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, TX. under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel.
