Peterson Funeral Chapel

     Ruth E. Quintin, 83 of Aurora, MO. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 23, 2014 in her home surrounded by her family.

     She was born Ruth Elizabeth Rhoads on December 20, 1930 in Green City, MO., along with her twin sister, Reta, who survives. The daughter of Minus Theodore and Ada Ellen (Warren) Rhoads.

     She was born and raised on a dairy farm and consequently married a dairy farmer. On June 25, 1950 she married George Quintin in Queen City, MO. He preceded her in death on November 23, 1998. Ruth and George operated their own dairy farm for several years. Ruth was a hard working farm wife who also enjoyed gardening, sewing and doll making. In 1981 she and George made their home in Aurora, MO.

     Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was always prepared to offer a cabbage patch doll, Pringles and Diet Coke to any small feet that approached her front steps.

     After retiring from farming she spent a few years working out of the home at MWM and Cuddy's. She and George traveled as often as possible. They transported the Amish for a number of years and greatly enjoyed the fellowship in their travels.

     She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her 2 sons, Adrian Quintin and wife, Debbie of Elizabethtown, KY. and Allen Quintin and wife, Regina of Aurora, MO.; her grandchildren, Mandi Mayne and husband Denny of Aurora, Todd Quintin and wife, Kelly of Lexington, KY., Carrie Quintin and KJ Howlett of Aurora, MO. and David Quintin of Lexington, KY.; her great-grandchildren, Lacey, Beau, Maddison, Denny, Jocey, Derek, Kadence, Katie, Paige and Andrew; her twin sister, many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

     Funeral services will be held Friday, August 29 at 10:00 a.m. in the Aurora United Methodist Church under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be in Maple Park Cemetery.

     Visitation will be held Thursday from 7-8 p.m in the funeral home.
