Peterson Funeral Chapel

‚Äč            Rosemary Peterson, 86, of Aurora passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019 in Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.

            She was born March 24, 1932 in Aurora, MO.  Rosemary was a member of the Presbyterian Church for 61 years.  At her time in the church she played many roles such as an elder of the church, the Moses' basket diaper pantry and etc.  She began her career as an independent salon owner working out of her own home.  Then she went on to work for the state as a beauty shop inspector for 20 years leading to her retirement in 1997.  After her retirement she enjoyed stain glass art, painting,working at country music shows in Branson, taking care of her granddaughter as she grew up and providing a loving home for many, many dogs over the years.

            Rosemary is survived by her son, Bill Peterson of Springfield and granddaughter, Brooke Peterson.

            A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 6 from 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church in Aurora.

            Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Maple Park Cemetery under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel.
