Mitchell James Ezra Kay, 27, of Belton, MO. passed away June 28, 2018 in his home.
He was born to Tim and Cheryl Wilson Kay on March 15, 1991 in Springfield, MO. Mitchell attended school in Aurora and participated in the band and the FFA. He later joined the Army Natioal Guard and attended basic training in North Carolina and also went to AIT training in Augusta, GA. He was a member of the research and development team at Novation IQ in Lenexa, KS. As a small child he always tried to make everyone laugh. He had a head full of blonde curls and a smile that melted our hearts. He was a very intelligent young man and loved by all who knew him.
Survivors include his parents, Tim Kay of Aurora and companion, Judith Jones and Cheryl Kay of Belton, MO.; his companion, Heather Kochie of Belton, MO.; two brothers, Emmett Kay of Clever, MO. and Wyatt Kay of Belton, MO.; one sister, Allie Taylor and husband, Trevor of Clever, MO.; grandparents, Judy and Walter Price of Aurora, MO. and Lloyd and Marie Kay of Center Point, TX.; and nieces and nephews, Rayden Kay, Waylen Jennings, Madilynn Taylor and Jazzilynn Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dave and Carol Wilson and Great-grandmother, Viola Chaney.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 5 at 10:00 a.m. in the Peterson Funeral Chapel. Full military honors will follow.
