Peterson Funeral Chapel
Louis L. Jordan, 92, of Aurora passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
He was born to Leroy and Mable McMillan Jordan on August 9, 1926 in Lindsey, OK. He was a World War II Veteran he was a member of the 188th paratroop infantry, served in the 13th and served in the 11th airborne division in Sendi, Japan. After the military he worked as an operating engineer building roads ans was supervisor of the hot plant. He was a very hardworking man, it was very important to him to provide for his family and he enjoyed square dancing.
Survivors include one son, Wayne Jordan and wife, Cheryl of Marionville, MO.; three daughters, Joyce Jordan of Aurora, MO., Wanda Curtis and husband, J.C. of Aurora, MO. and Nina Dresia and husband, Dale of Miami, OK.; two sister-in-laws, Margie Jordan and Dolores Nelson both of Aurora, MO.; 4 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Retta; one brother, Glen Jordan; four sisters, Lavell Parks, Darlene Helton, Ruby Canfield and Lucille Searcy; and 3 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Maple Park Cemetery with full military honors.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time in the funeral home.
