Leroy (Lee) Elbert Spain passed away at his home in Aurora, Mo on May 8th 2022 at the age of 86.
Lee was born on May 21st 1935 in Cassville, Mo. to Alvin Spain and Mary Newman (Spain).
He graduated from Exeter Highschool in 1953. He promptly enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. and proudly served his country until he was honorably discharged in 1955. 
 Lee was a businessman throughout his life managing several area feed stores and other businesses. He was the co-owner of Lee and Don's Service station in Billings Mo with his brother in-law Don McCallister for 15 years. It was there that he made many lifelong friendships and met the love of his life Patricia. They married on July 1st, 1973 and shared 46 years of marriage until her death in 2020. 
 Lee was an avid gardener and coin collector. After his retirement from Clever Mill he spent his time as the neighborhood handyman. He and Pat enjoyed traveling, playing slots at the casinos with friends and spending time together.  
  Lee is survived by his sister Joann McCallister Don), children Eddie Spain (Becky), Tammy Watson (Kirk), Step daughters Tammy Rhodes and Sherry Hullett, Grandchildren April Standefer (Robert), Jacob Spain (Pam) , Lucas Spain (Sarah), Kyle Watson, Christyn Hullett, Erica Smith, Caitlin Hullett and Alex Wilson (Joel); Great grandchildren Maggie Standefer, Reed Standefer , Brooklyn Wilson and Kate Spain. 
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia; and brothers Jesse Spain and Billy Spain.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 12 at 10:30 a.m. in the Reavisville Baptist Church under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow with full military honors in Maple Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. in the funeral home.
