Juanita Robertson Shultz, age 101 passed away on December 24, 2020 at the Sonshine Manor in Republic,
She was born June 17, 1919 to Charles and Minnie Keener in Marionville, MO. She grew up and attended Marionville Schools, graduating from high school in 1937. She married George Robertson in October of 1940 and they had two daughters.
She helped organize the first Brownie Troop in Aurora and later worked with the Girl Scouts. She was a member of the First Christian Church for 30 years and since then has been a member of the First Baptist Church. Juanita was active in the American Legion Auxiliary for over 75 years serving as president several times. She was also in the Garden Club and enjoyed the Red Hatters. She was a wonderful cook and loved taking care of her house and yard.
From 1970 to 1980 she worked at the Aurora Community Hospital and after retiring she married Howard Shultz of Kansas City and had 21 love filled years together. He also passed away on Christmas Eve.
Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Lagermann and husband, Roger and Sunny Sue Maris and husband, Peter; 3 grandchildren, Julie England, Randy Hauck and Todd Vest; 2 great-grandchildren, Bobby Peters and Jake England; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Trent, Shane and Christian; 2 step-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Rebecca and their families in St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; two sisters; her only great-granddaughter, Joey; and her treasured friend Mary Meyers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 29 at 3:30 p.m. in the Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Marionville IOOF Cemetery.
