USAF Retired MSGT Joseph (Joe) R. Tulgetske, 89, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away on November 5, 2022 in his home. He was born on July 23, 1933 in Rogers City, Michigan to Russel Thomas and Violet E. Tulgetske. 

Joe lived in Aurora for 45 years. He served on the Aurora City Council and was Mayor from April 1979 to April 1980. He was a reserve Police Officer from 1975 to 1980. Joe and his wife, Barbara managed the Aurora License Bureau from 1976 to 1980. He served in the United States Air force for 20 years and retired as a Master Sergeant. Joe was also a Master Mason and a York Rite Shriner.

Joe is survived by his daughters, Denise (Paul) Baer of Summerfield, IL and Tammy (Allen) Arnall of Springfield, MO; several grandchildren, Charissa (John) Hill, Jesse Baer, Ryan (Nichole) Baer, Joshua Coon, Jeremy Tulgetske; great-grandchildren, Kristen and Lauren Hill. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his best friend and spouse, Babara Tulgetske; his sons, Donald Tulgetske (an Aurora Police Sgt.) and Michael Edwards; his parents Thomas and Violet Tulgetske; his brothers, Dale Farero, Tom, Larry and Jim Tulgetske; one sister, Anna Yant.

Joe and his sweetheart Barbara completed 60 years of marriage on February 20, 2015.

Memorials may be made to the charity of Donors choice.

A private graveside memorial service will be held at a future date.
