John W. Kleeman passed from this life March 15, 2018. He was born in Verona MO to Elmer and Doris (Eggemann) Kleeman, November 3 1941.
John was a 1959 graduate of Aurora High School. He moved briefly to Illinois and earned his Journeyman Lineman license. He moved his family back to Aurora, where he started his Electrical Contracting business in 1978. He kept the business until his death.
He was a man of strong faith. To his friends, he was known as a hard worker and always willing to help others. To his family, he was greatly admired and respected. He was a loving person and had a very big heart for his grandchildren.
He didn’t have many hobbies, enjoying his profession and spending his time at “get-togethers” with family and friends, frog gigging and watching football.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-brothers and sister. He is survived by Shirlene (Jenkins) Kleeman, his wife of 57 years; two sons, John Michael Kleeman and his wife Debbie of Conway, MO and Daniel Wayne Kleeman and Kathy of Tampa, FL and a daughter Jolene (Kleeman) Starr and her husband Kevin of Shell Knob, MO. Five grandchildren – Jessica Kleeman-Dow and husband Quinten, Kelsey Kleeman, and John Wesley Kleeman; Michelle (Starr) Richardson and husband Joe, and Gus Starr. Three great-grandchildren – Aubrey Dickens, Tony Dow and Evalynn Richardson. Special friends include Chet Jenkins and Karen Mallard.
Arrangements are under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel.. Private services will be determined at a later date.
