Howard "Junior" Anderson, 74, of Aurora passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

            He was born to Howard Sr. and Lena Grimes Anderson on May 15, 1942 in Aurora, MO.  Junior attended Hurley Community Baptist Church, he worked at the Juvenile Shoe Factory as well as Viles Oil Company.  He owned and operated a trucking company and he and his wife Jeannie owned Jean's Dolls in Downtown Aurora.  Many Knew him as a regular at Jim Carr's in Aurora.

            Survivors include his  son, Jeff Anderson and wife, Andy of Springfield, MO.; daughter, Janet Wartnaby and husband, James of Joplin, MO.;  Brother, Tom Anderson and wife, Peggy of Crane, MO.; 2 sisters, Sue Tichenor and husband, Wade and Doris Harmon both of Crane, MO.; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jeannie; step-son, Steven Williams and a grandson, Jared Hill.

            Funeral services will be held Friday, April 7 at 10:00 a.m. in the Peterson Funeral Chapel.  Burial will be in Maple Park Cemetery.

            Visitation will be held Thursday from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
