Hershel L. Ward was born in Abesville, MO. on September 2, 1943 and passed away at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. unexpectedly on Friday, June 11, 2021.
He lived in Verona, MO. for many years. He enjoyed the companionship of his first wife, Beverly Rowland after the passing of his wife of many years, Sharon Ward. He was a man of many talents working as an electronic repairman, welder, built cabinets/furniture and served as a Municipal Judge in Marionville and Miller, MO. He was also a big Denver Bronco's fan. In his retirement he enjoyed serving others by volunteering at the Harvest Church food pantry and loved attending Clay Hill Community Church for 10 plus years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; a brother; and his wife, Sharon (Sheri) Ward.
Survivors include his companion, Beverly Rowland; five daughters, Charlotte Fraser and husband, Sean of Augusta, Ks., Sheila Ward and wife, Cindy Murphy of El Dorado, KS., Levown Hunter of Springfield, MO., Shelly Loux of Willard, MO. and Tamara Salyers of Cassville, MO.; three sons, Brian Ward and wife, Paula of Verona, MO., Bradley Ward and wife, Lauri of Aurora, MO. and Jeffery Ward of Springfield, MO.; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, June 16 at 3:00 p.m. in the Peterson Funeral Chapel.
