Harold Dean Bailie, son of Orvie and Irene (Ray) Bailie, was born July 8th, 1935 near Cape Fair, Missouri, and departed this life on April 22, 2017 at the age of 81. Harold was united in marriage to Edna Frieze on July 3, 1954 in Oroville, California.
Harold was a loving husband as well as a proud Dad and Papa, who enjoyed fishing, hunting and St. Louis Cardinals Baseball. He is well known for his champion black and tan coon hounds. Harold provided a safe and secure future for his loved ones as a dairy and beef farmer near Jenkins, Missouri for many years. He had a strong sense of faith and family.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Erma Lee.
Survivors include his wife, Edna. Two sons; Garold Bailie and Terry and wife Teresa Bailie of Aurora, Missouri.; one daughter, Deena and husband Kenneth Cope of Jay, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Ben and wife Kayla Bailie, Cannaan Bailie, Cissy Noll and husband Jason all of Aurora, Jackson Bailie and wife Stacey of Crane, Mo., Sara Truman and husband Mike of Billings, Mo., Toby Sturgell and wife Jamie, Buffy Fink and husband David all of Shell Knob, Mo.; eight great-grandchildren, Cortney, Chase and Chance Noll, Shelby and Kellen Dean Bailie, Bella and Wyatt Truman, Stasha Sturgell; three sisters; Dorothy Phelps, Betty Cook and husband Leonard, Ruby Jenkins and husband Eddie all of Aurora; and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Services are under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 25, from 6-8 p.m. at the Faith Full Gospel Church in Aurora. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 26, at 2 pm. also at the Church with Rev. Rex Mooneyham and Rev. Mark Reavis presiding.
