Peterson Funeral Chapel

Eric Boyer, 26, of Lake St. Louis, MO. was killed in a single car wreck, Fri. Jan. 22, 2016. Eric was born in Springfield, MO. Dec. 9, 1989 to Kim and Susan (Alexander) Boyer. Eric was raised in Mt. Vernon, MO. Where he graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 2008. Eric demonstrated an early fascination with science and computers, engaging adults in his life in a number of topics that he was curious about. Like all children raised in the 90’s, Eric’s world developed around computers and their influence on life. He was the resident IT expert for the Boyer household and any other family members that called on his knowledge. That knowledge lead him into enrolling in college at Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, MO. Where he studied computer engineering and earned his Bachelor of Science in computer engineering in 2013
Eric was currently working as a software engineer for Schneider Electric in St. Louis, MO. Where he had worked since 2013. Eric’s interest in technology didn’t stop at computers and software. He also took a strong interest in snowboarding, gaming, cars and motorcycles, proving him quite adaptable at tearing apart and fixing video game equipment and his vehicles. Eric took great pride in maintaining and fixing his own equipment. With the world at his fingertips, there was no problem without a solution. Eric’s love for cars and motorcycles had led him through multiple cars and bikes, each providing the thrill of repair and modification that drove him. His latest creation, a Nissan 240SX , accompanied him to the end. Eric left us doing what he loved to do.
Eric was preceded in death by his grandmother, Laverne (Egbert) Alexander and grandfather, Don Boyer.
Survivors include his parents, Kim and Susan Boyer of Verona, MO.; brothers, Lucas (Angela) Boyer of Kansas City, MO.
