Peterson Funeral Chapel
Dorotha Jean Brendlinger, age 94, of Aurora passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Ozarks Methodist Manor in Marionville, MO. She was born October 14, 1925 in Aurora, MO., the daughter of Arthur Lee and Dollie Kenyon, and lived in the Aurora community her entire life.
On September 4, 1942, she married Junior Otis "J.O." Brendlinger of Monett, MO. She and J.O. were active members of the First Baptist and Southside Baptist Churches in Aurora. Dorotha sang in the church choir, taught Sunday School classes and frequently volunteered to work in the church kitchen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Jerry; a sister, Juanita Kenyon Rauschelbach and four brothers, Russell, William, James and Robert.
Survivors include two sons, Carl of Moberly, MO. and Terry of Oak Ridge, TN.; four grandchildren, Corey Brendlinger of Portage, MI., Carey Moore of Baldwin, MO., Stacy Bender-Dubiel of Garland, TX. and Amber McGhee of Knoxville, TN.; and eight great-grandchildren, Sophie and Lily Brendlinger of Portage, MI., Haley and Mason Moore of Baldwin, MO., Jacob and Morgan Guerra of Garland, TX. and Zachary and Luke McGhee of Knoxville, TN.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 3 at 2:00 p.m. in the Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Maple Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time in the funeral home.
