Peterson Funeral Chapel
Charlene Gastorf, 74, of Aurora passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
She was born to Jewell “J.R.” Wallace and Evelyn Agness Wimmer on December 27, 1946 just North of Aurora, MO. She was retired from Tyson Poultry Plant.
For years she labored hours upon hours a day on her passion, flowers. Always in the yard digging in the dirt. Ever the selfless soul she was always eager to help anyone in need, putting their needs above hers, whether she knew them or not. And all the while she was a devoted wife of 31 years to Tom & an ever so nurturing Mother to her son. Charlene was a beautiful soul.
Survivors include her son, Tony Hadley of Aurora, MO.; two brothers, Robert Wallace of Monett, MO. and Larry Wallace of Marionville, MO.; one sister, Mildred Cornman of Monett, MO.; 3 grandchildren, Elizabeth Overturf and Michael Box both of Broken Arrow, OK. Dillon Hadley of Chipley, FL. and four Great Grand children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Gastorf; two brothers, Howard “Dusty” Wallace and Donald Wallace; and Grandson, Trevor Wayne Hadley.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 19 at 2:00 p.m. in the Peterson Funeral Chapel. Private burial will follow in Maple Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday from 12:00 p.m. until service time in the funeral home.
