Billie Moreland, 74, of Crane passed away Sunday, March 27,2 016 in his home.
He was born to Henry and Pauline Carney Moreland on Oct. 13, 1941 in Jenkins, MO.
Bill is a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the United States Navy for four years and eight months.
In Bill's free time he enjoyed farming, taking care of his cattle and chickens, and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed camping when his children were younger.
Bill owned B&R Propane for 10 years.
Bill married Shirley Clayton on June 24, 1967 and have resided on their property in Crane since 1968.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; 2 sons, Rodney Moreland and wife, Joanna of Crane and Gene Clayton of Columbus, NE.; daughter, Sandra Harris and husband, Earl of Crane; brother, Robert Moreland of Sarcoxie; grandchildren, Chris Clayton, Dustin Clayton, Glenn Harris, Michael and Christine Wilson, Courtney and Justin Eisenmann, Amanda Moreland, Destinee and Blake Janeczko and Zachary Harris; 7 great-grandchildren and 3 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 siblings, Eva Williams and Carol Vester; nephew, Joe Williams and a grandson, David Dean Harris.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 31 at 10:00 a.m. in the Reavisville Baptist Church under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Hilton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wed. from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
